Responsibilities
As an intern at NECSA, you will be exposed to a range of tasks and responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Assisting in Research Projects: Collaborate with NECSA teams on ongoing research projects, contributing to data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Laboratory Support: Work alongside scientists and researchers, providing assistance with laboratory experiments, sample preparations, and equipment maintenance.
- Technical Assistance: Support engineers and technical staff in various departments, helping with troubleshooting, testing, and documentation.
- Data Analysis: Assist in processing and interpreting experimental data using specialized software and tools.
- Report Writing: Prepare clear and concise reports on research findings, project progress, and other assigned tasks.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines within the nuclear facility and comply with NECSA's regulations and policies.
- Professional Development: Attend training sessions, workshops, and seminars organized by NECSA to enhance your technical skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university or recently graduated in a relevant field such as nuclear science, engineering, chemistry, physics, or related disciplines.
- Strong academic performance and a passion for nuclear research and technology.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Basic knowledge of nuclear science and associated laboratory practices (preferred but not mandatory).
- Prior internship or research experience (preferred but not mandatory).
