The Professional Retail Programme (PRP) is an intensive, eight-month internship designed to develop the next generation of retail professionals. This internship will equip graduates with the skills, knowledge, and experience necessary to succeed in the dynamic and fast-paced retail industry.
The PRP is designed by retailers to build the merchants of the future. Participants will gain hands-on experience and insight into various key roles and responsibilities within the retail value chain. The program includes a blend of classroom learning, cloud-based learning modules, self-study, group projects, and four months of practical experience in selected retail environments. Graduates will have the opportunity to develop specialized skills for entry-level roles in the retail sector, with a focus on business and consumer value.

- Collaborate on group projects to enhance teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Gain valuable hands-on work experience in various retail environments.
- Understand the full retail value chain, from operations to customer service and merchandising.
- Develop key skills in management, retail operations, business processes, and consumer engagement.
- South African Citizenship is a must.
- Aged between 18 and 33 years.
- Unemployed at the time of application.
- No criminal record.
- Possess a Diploma or Degree, or be in the final year of study, in any of the following fields:
- B.Com
- Operations Management
- Management
- Business Management
- Business Science
- Retail Management
- Graphic Design
- Fashion Design
- Clothing Management
- or any other retail-related qualifications.
- Comprehensive training and exposure to the retail industry.
- A dynamic and supportive learning environment.
- Hands-on experience in leading retail environments.
