Responsibilities
  • Assist with research activities, including literature reviews, data collection, and analysis.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of health programs and projects.
  • Support data management and analysis efforts, including data cleaning, organization, and interpretation.
  • Assist in the development of reports, presentations, and other communication materials.
  • Contribute to policy development and advocacy initiatives, staying updated on relevant health policies and guidelines.

Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a relevant degree program in public health, health sciences, social sciences, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in health systems strengthening, public health, and health research.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills to contribute to research and data analysis efforts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, STATA, or similar).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated commitment to improving health outcomes and addressing health disparities in South Africa.
  • Previous experience in research, program implementation, or data analysis (preferred but not required).
  • Knowledge of health systems in South Africa (preferred but not required).
