Responsibilities
  • Support Traffic Management Initiatives: Assist in the development and implementation of traffic management programs and initiatives aimed at reducing accidents, congestion, and improving overall road safety.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret traffic data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings effectively.
  • Public Awareness Campaigns: Contribute to the planning and execution of public awareness campaigns and educational outreach efforts designed to promote safe driving behaviors and compliance with traffic laws.
  • Policy Research and Development: Conduct research on road safety policies, regulations, and best practices. Assist in drafting proposals, recommendations, and policy briefs to support informed decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with government agencies, law enforcement, community organizations, and other stakeholders to coordinate activities, share resources, and foster partnerships in support of road safety objectives.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance as needed, including scheduling meetings, organizing events, and maintaining documentation related to internship projects.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate program (e.g., Transportation Management, Civil Engineering, Public Policy, Urban Planning, etc.).
  • Strong interest in road safety, traffic engineering, or related fields.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze data effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Previous internship or volunteer experience in a related field is a plus.
